THEATRE ARTIST

I am a critically-acclaimed director, dramaturg, playwright, and actor, with over 25 years of experience in the professional theatre.

Companies I have worked for include Tennessee Repertory Theatre/Nashville Repertory Theatre, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Alley Theatre, WaterTower Theatre, Shakespeare Dallas, and St. Louis Shakespeare. 

I have had the sincere pleasure of working with and learning from Jane Lapotaire, Anne Bogart, Linda S. Chapman, Lola Pashalinski, José Rivera, Robert Wilson, Jonathan Miller, Zoe Caldwell, Jon Jory, Kevin Kline, Elizabeth Franz, Reduced Shakespeare Company, Tony Kushner, Doug Wright, Holly Hughes, Horton Foote, and Bert V. Royal.

I proudly served as the Founding Artistic Director for (Mostly) Harmless Theatre and Inevitable Theatre Company, where I directed the regional premieres of The Laramie Project, Dog Sees God, Fuddy Meers, Jordan, Unsuspecting Susan, Four Modern Noh Plays, and Defying Gravity.

I have also been a director and dramaturg at several colleges and universities, including SUNY Oneonta, University of North Texas, University of Northern Colorado, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Mountain View College, Tarrant County College, and Washington University in St. Louis.

 

I have had articles and reviews published in American Theatre, Theatre Journal, Theatre Survey, and New England Theatre Journal.

As a playwright, I have had my work produced at professional theatres, community theatres, and universities and colleges throughout the United States and Canada,

 

I have been a member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, and Actors' Equity Association.
