ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Robert Lloyd-Charles (pronouns: he/him/his), and I am thrilled that you have found my website.

You might know me as Robert L. Neblett, but I got married to a wonderful man in 2021 and we decided to change both of our last names to this one.

This site is designed to be a small window into the many facets that make up my professional life, with a few glimpses into my personal world as well.

I am a theatre artist, writer, educator, and corporate learning and development technology specialist. I hold a PhD in Dramatic/Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and have worked at professional theatre companies and colleges and universities across the United States, including serving as the founding artistic director for two small performing arts companies in St. Louis and Dallas.

I currently live in the Tower Grove South neighborhood in St. Louis, MO, with my husband Justin and our cats. We plan to move to Rochester, NY, in 2024.

I wear a lot of hats, and I always do my best to look good in each.

Despite my diverse background as a vagabond of sorts, one thing has always and will always define the heart of my career, and that is a belief in the power of education and imagination. As a lifelong learner myself, I try to share my infectious passion for building a stronger culture of learning in whatever I do.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to tour around my online home and learn a little more about me, what makes me tick, and where my future may lead.

Vertical Headshot of Robert
